This Privacy Policy describes how Sleeved ("Sleeved", "we", "us", or "our"), a product of Ripen Studio, collects, uses, and shares information when you install and use the Sleeved Shopify application ("the App") or visit our website at getsleeved.app.

By installing the App or using our website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information from your Shopify store

When you install Sleeved, we request permission to access specific data from your Shopify store through the Shopify API. We access only what is required to provide the service:

  • Product data — product titles, variants, SKUs, and prices. We read this data to import your catalog and write updated prices after a sync is applied.
  • Shop metadata — your store name, domain, and currency. Used for configuration and display within the app.
  • Billing information — processed entirely through Shopify's billing system. We do not store or see your payment details.

We do not access customer data, order history, checkout data, payment information, or any other Shopify data beyond what is listed above.

1.2 Account and contact information

When you contact us for support or sign up for communications, we may collect:

  • Your name and email address
  • The content of your message or inquiry

1.3 Usage and analytics data

We collect anonymised usage data to understand how the App is used and to improve it. This may include:

  • Which features are used and how often
  • Sync frequency, rule configuration patterns (without identifying details)
  • Error events and performance data

This data is collected in aggregate and is not linked to individual merchants in a personally identifiable way.

1.4 Website visitors

When you visit getsleeved.app, we may collect standard web log data including IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. This is used for security monitoring and to understand general traffic patterns.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the App — including importing your catalog, applying pricing rules, and writing updated prices to your store
  • Maintain the App's audit log and sync history on your behalf
  • Respond to support requests and communications
  • Diagnose errors and improve the App's reliability
  • Send transactional messages related to your account (plan changes, billing notifications, critical updates)
  • Understand usage patterns to inform product development

We do not sell your data. We do not use your store data for advertising. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data sharing and third parties

We share data only as necessary to provide the service:

3.1 Shopify

Sleeved operates as a Shopify app and is subject to Shopify's API terms. Data exchanged with Shopify is governed by Shopify's Privacy Policy.

3.2 Pricing data providers

To retrieve market pricing for trading cards, Sleeved sends card identifiers (name, set, collector number) to third-party pricing data providers. We do not send any merchant or store data to these providers. Their responses are used solely to generate pricing suggestions within the App.

3.3 Infrastructure providers

We use third-party providers for hosting, databases, and error monitoring. These providers process data under data processing agreements and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

3.4 Legal requirements

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sleeved, our users, or others.

4. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to fulfil the purposes described in this policy:

  • Sync and audit log data — retained for the duration of your active subscription plus 90 days after cancellation
  • Product and pricing data — retained while the App is installed; deleted within 30 days of uninstallation
  • Support communications — retained for up to 24 months
  • Anonymised usage data — may be retained indefinitely in aggregate, non-identifiable form

5. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. This includes:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest
  • Access controls limiting which personnel can access production data
  • Regular review of security practices

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we take security seriously, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion — request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations)
  • Portability — request your data in a portable format
  • Objection — object to certain types of processing

7. GDPR and international users

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Australia, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law. Our legal basis for processing your data is primarily the performance of the contract between you and Sleeved (operating the App you have installed) and our legitimate interests in improving the service.

If you have concerns about our data practices, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Children's privacy

The App is designed for use by businesses and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify active users via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
