FAQ
Everything you need to know about Sleeved. If your question isn't here, reach out at support@getsleeved.app.
Sleeved is a Shopify app for small trading card stores that automatically updates your singles prices based on current market data. You set your rules — floors, margins, caps — and Sleeved handles the repricing on a schedule. The key difference from other tools is that every sync shows you a full preview of what will change before anything goes live in your store.
Yes. Sleeved imports your existing Shopify products directly — you do not need to rebuild your catalog from scratch. After import, Sleeved matches each product to the card database and queues a review for you to confirm before anything is priced. If you're coming from a CSV export or another platform, CSV import is also supported.
No. Sleeved is designed for self-serve setup — no demo call, no technical configuration, no developer required. If you can manage a Shopify store, you can set up Sleeved. The onboarding flow walks you through every step: import, mapping, rules, preview, and apply.
Most stores can complete setup and run their first pricing preview in under an hour. The time varies depending on catalog size and how many mismatches you need to correct manually during the card-mapping step. A store with 500–1,000 well-named products should be through onboarding in 30–45 minutes.
Sleeved is currently Shopify-only. It is not a POS system and does not integrate with WooCommerce or other ecommerce platforms at this time. If you run a Shopify online store alongside a physical presence, Sleeved manages pricing on the Shopify side only.
Not without your configuration allowing it. Every sync starts as a dry-run preview — you see exactly what will change before anything is written to Shopify. If you set up auto-apply on your schedule, Sleeved will apply changes automatically after the preview passes your rule checks. But your rules — floors, caps, locks — still apply regardless. Nothing below a floor, nothing above a cap, nothing on a locked SKU. The only surprise is when something doesn't change that you expected to.
Your rules are the safeguard. If a price spikes, the movement cap limits how much Sleeved will adjust in a single run. If a price drops, your floor prevents it from going below your minimum. In both cases the preview shows you what would have changed and why it was blocked, so you can see what happened and decide whether to update the rule manually.
Yes. Lock any SKU from the product detail view and Sleeved will skip it in every future sync. Locks are permanent until you remove them and survive plan changes, catalog updates, and schedule changes. Locked products are clearly labelled in the inventory list so you always know which items are excluded from autopricing.
The audit log records every change made in every sync, including the price before and after. If a sync produces prices you're not happy with, you can see exactly what changed in the run detail view. Sleeved does not currently have a one-click rollback button, but the audit log gives you the data you need to manually correct any problem SKUs or restore prices via Shopify's product editor or a CSV update.
Sleeved reads and writes your Shopify product catalog — specifically product titles, variants, and prices. This is the minimum access needed to import your inventory and update prices. Sleeved does not access customer data, order history, payment information, or any other part of your store.
At launch, Sleeved supports five games: Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon TCG, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, and One Piece Card Game. All five are available from day one — there's no waiting for beta support or purchasing additional modules.
Yes. Sleeved supports foil and non-foil variants, alternate art editions, and special printings across supported games where pricing data is available for those variants. During the catalog mapping step, you'll match products to specific printings, so foils and regular editions are tracked and priced separately.
Sleeved pulls market prices from third-party data providers that track the US TCGPlayer market. Prices are denominated in USD and reflect current market mid, low, and high values depending on your rule configuration. Pricing is updated on each sync cycle.
Note: Sleeved does not use TCGplayer's API directly — that API closed to new partners in 2026. We use an alternative data source with equivalent US market coverage.
Sleeved's pricing data is sourced from the US TCGPlayer market and denominated in USD. If your Shopify store is set to a non-USD currency, the raw price values would be applied in that currency as-is, which would be incorrect.
The recommended workaround is Shopify Markets. Set your Shopify store's base currency to USD, then use Shopify Markets to display and sell in your local currency (AUD, CAD, etc.) with automatic conversion at checkout. Sleeved writes accurate USD prices and Shopify handles the conversion for your customers.
This approach works well for stores in Australia, Canada, and other regions that reference TCGPlayer pricing. If you primarily sell using European CardMarket pricing (UK, EU), Sleeved is not currently a good fit — the underlying market data is US-focused.
Yes. Additional game support is planned. If you sell a game that isn't currently supported, let us know — user demand directly influences which games we prioritise next. You can reach us at hello@getsleeved.app.
It's genuinely free with no time limit. The Free plan supports up to 250 SKUs with manual refresh and dry-run preview. It doesn't expire. You can use it indefinitely and only upgrade if you outgrow it or need scheduled auto-sync.
No. Every Sleeved plan is flat-rate with zero transaction commission. You pay a fixed monthly fee and keep 100% of your sales revenue. This is a deliberate difference from platforms like BinderPOS, TCG Sync, and Crystal Commerce, which charge 2–2.5% on sales in addition to monthly fees.
Billing is handled through Shopify's billing system — charges appear on your regular Shopify invoice. Plans are billed monthly. There are no annual commitments and no early cancellation fees.
If your tracked SKU count exceeds your plan's limit, new products added above the limit will be visible in the app but excluded from pricing runs. Your existing priced products are not affected. To include the additional products, upgrade to the next plan tier.
Yes. You can change your plan at any time from Settings → Plan & Billing inside the app. Changes take effect immediately through Shopify billing. Downgrading to a lower SKU tier will exclude products above the new limit from future syncs, but won't change any prices that have already been applied.
Cancelling removes Sleeved from your Shopify store and stops all future syncs. Your existing Shopify product prices remain as they were at the time of cancellation — Sleeved does not reset or modify prices on uninstall.
Most TCG repricing tools push prices live with no preview, no price floors, no margin rules, and no audit trail — prices go live automatically and you hope nothing went wrong. Sleeved shows you a dry-run preview before every sync, enforces your floor and margin rules, lets you lock individual SKUs, and logs every change. Sleeved also imports your existing Shopify catalog directly rather than requiring you to rebuild products from scratch. Start free on up to 250 SKUs with no time limit.
Sleeved can work alongside your Shopify store if you previously ran on BinderPOS. If you have a product catalog from BinderPOS, you can export it as a CSV and import it into Sleeved. Sleeved handles the pricing and autopricing side — it is not a full POS replacement and doesn't include buylist, in-store events, or physical inventory management. If you only need Shopify autopricing, Sleeved covers that job well at a lower cost and without commission fees.
No, and it's not trying to be. Sleeved is a narrow, focused tool for one job: keeping your Shopify singles prices accurate and safe. It does not include POS, buylist, grading, event management, loyalty points, or sealed inventory workflows. If you need a full card shop operating system, platforms like TCG Sync, BinderPOS (when available), or Crystal Commerce are better suited — though they cost significantly more and charge sales commissions. If you sell online through Shopify and need safe autopricing, Sleeved is built exactly for that.
